Awesome infinity scrog net. Just got here. Is the idea behind the net to separate bud sites ? Haven’t do it before

I would say my products are thin.
I have found sometimes my hoses drip a few a couple drops. I think it’s because my stock tanks are high. I was going to try to move them lower and see what happens but I’m out of the county right now and my girls are on autopilot. But I’m still able check on them if any parameters get out of range I will get an alarm notification. My goal is a VPD in flower is 1.5
Plan to address it when I’m back. Let me know how you make out with the back flow valves. Also do you have a link?
On the net you want to pull the branches away from the center. Spread the plant out
Pawfly Aquarium Air Pump Check Valves Plastic One Way Non-Return Check Valve Amazon.com
There for air but the duck bill is pretty flimsy. Flimsy enough to let something heavy through and not back. I was pleasantly surprised.
JIH Aquarium Air Pump Accessories Set -25 Feet Airline Tubing Standard, Air Stones,Check Valves, Suction Cups and Connectors,Clear Amazon.com
This kit it what I’ve used. It was for my beta tank. The tube is air tubing. I just used the connectors.
I thought the same. My next step if the back flow valves don’t work is to put my bottles horizontal even with the pump head. And feed tubes straight out horizontally from the pump into the bucket. The bottle maybe a twenty degree angle top on the high side. I didn’t realize how many different companies have dosing machines. I was on YouTube. I think these valves will work even if I put a second in the feed side. thanks I wasn’t totally sure about the net. I was reading where there telling me to top the branches when they hit the net?
Plants look great
. What is VPD?
I have the same check valves at home I use them in my automatic burping jar system. (Life changing) not having to burp jars.
I thought about using them but I was under the impression it was for air only. Not liquids I’m going to try it when I get home.
Between both of us we will have all the bugs worked out soon.
VPD means vapor pressure deficit
It’s the most important factor of growing. More than feed and Co2 etc.
Most people just go by Humidity and say it’s good because it’s in range but really this isn’t the case
Temperature plans a big roll in humidity.
If your temp is 70 and rh is 60 that’s not every good. But if your temp is 80 and rh is 60 that is good. (Just a example don’t go by that)
In Veg you want to be around 1.2
In flower you want to be around 1.5
Read this and let me know if you have questions it’s explains everything very good.
Here is example of a VPD chart.
I understand the importance. Thank you for sharing that. If my calculations are correct I’m around 1.2 in vegetation. I used there calculator. Yeah your not kidding about the importance. Great explanation. I’m definitely including this in my grow file. I may have inadvertently created this in the grow box. My plant is twice the size of last grow. I added humidity and mushrooms. Didn’t measure anything. That would explain the growth maybe
I did have moisture between a couple of leaves. Now that’s it’s spread out it’s not there anymore. I might feel better about my grow if my numbers are closer
Something exciting to monitor. Definitely at the front of my mind now.
Didn’t realize I was signed in all night ![]()
After understanding more about VPD. I realize I need to address when the lights go out. I have no control there. And some during the day. I’m going to check it after lights out and see. I have nothing wireless per say. I need to see my humidity and temps at night
definitely given me something to think about. Maybe I can get more automated down the road. There’s a closet right behind my grow where I could possibly mount some hardware. Thank you again ![]()
Was happy to see the scrog in action. This plant bounced back over night after pushing them over. I’m excited to have more than a 14x14 space to maintain as well.
I don’t have a lot of time reply to everything above at this moment but wanted to share this.
I use TrolMaster for all my controls.
I don’t own this but it looks like a cheap way (or cheapest way to get some control that I came across).
Please don’t worry about when you respond. It can be whenever. I understand 100% I did drop my humidity from 50 to 49.1. It’s a close balance between nigh and day climate. Thank you ![]()
Upon further reading and understanding more about VPD I realize my numbers were way off. I now have humidity control and temperature control more or less. I don’t have a monitor but I did use a chart and calculator from PULSE. To maintain a 1.02 I have 75F and 65 % H. I also installed a small heater. My night temps were dropping below 70F. I’ve never learned so much about growing marijuana in the last seven months.
Installed a second back flow on the feed side. The other two in the nutrients side works good
Happy to report no more gaps/bubbles. The ideal way imo is to have everything horizontal to help with this. Turn my pump vertical and mount the bottles horizontally in line with the pump head. And then the feed line horizontally into the bucket. Right now this is working and I like the extra tubing. My bottles are below and feed above gave me the challenge. Looking back I would of mounted it the other way. Also the valves give you the opportunity to see the liquid going through the line. Like a drip iv. I’ll probably put valves on everything.
I need to try out these check valves this weekend… Thanks for sharing…
Plant looks great!! Love than Fan leaf…
On VPD if your in the mood to spend money the Pulse / Pro are very nice monitors. Even will tell you what temp or Rh needs to be adjusted to for your target VPD
Looks like your getting the hang of all this now!! Congratulations Cheers!
Yeah man. Thank you for sharing VPD I’ve been able to make adjustments according to the charts. I’m very pleased and great full. I did see the pulse monitor. I may get just a VPD meter but I will get that setup you recommended that control everything. For the price it’s worth the piece of mind. Thank you
Pulse one / pro is a great monitor one of my favourites that I’ve used but offers zero control just info.
TrolMaster controls and monitors everything in my setup (for the most part)
Yes sir I’ve seen it. It’s nice
for sure. But I like the other one you showed me that I can plug everything into. It’s very affordable so to speak. In time. On an off note I left the discord site and will stay here so we can share info on the doser and what not. Honestly I love the freely advice you share. We need more of that. I have no real connection in the discord. I know your soil and i follow @Bobface86 grow to get tips. Mostly trim. His plants are amazing
ilgm was recommended. Like I said I don’t want to loose this AG connection to you and the few people that follow. Which means a lot.
