I grow to five almost six. I top at five and remove the two lower which gives me four nodes and eight mains. Here’s a diagram
Off of these eight let two or three satellite branches grow keeping the strongest and tallest so my canopy is even. Hope this helps. There’s a lot of methods. This works for me.
