Is Grobo still working in 2024

I’ve just had two failed grows and wondering if it’s worth trying again. My cabinet worked after the company went bust but now it’s looking dodgy. Most answers to questions are in 2023 so does anyone out there know if Grobo is still working in 2024? I have a flashing aqua light on the front but it may be using my home internet settings and not Grobo as it’s not showing. Any help would be appreciated.

I was in that boat except mine was in storage. I tried everything with my internet and searched on the web. What i have come to understand is now if it stops working its dead and done forever. I reached out to citizen grow multiple times for help and never get a response. Im sorry. If you somehow come up with a way to get it working please let me know. Good luck

Same here. I can not reach anyone with Citizen Grown. I placed an order last year for Nutes to get my grobo up an running after storage. Bought $600 worth of Nute from them and they never shipped or anything. I reached out to them on social media as well, and no responses.

It does suck. I tried everything too. The only thing i have been thinking now is im pretty sure they have a sister company that sells cannabis and i thought about reaching out to them for possible information or help. My wife keeps trying to get me to toss the unit now that there hasnt been support and its basically a large paperweight but i really dont want to give up on it in hopes one day someone will come through for us all and it will work again.

Yea I had the same struggle held on to it for a yr and I just got tired of all the headaches and just tossed it and got a tent. I’m glad I did cuz i can grow up to 4 plants now. One thing that did come out positive from having the grobo was the learning experience! I was a noob at that point it made me deal with everything that could possibly go wrong with a grow and how to save it before all ur hard work is ruined! Wasn’t as easy as I was hoping but also fun as well!

Same here. I bought mine back on 4-20-20. I got 7 grows out of mine, and all of my plants were healthier and more potent than the product you could buy in dispensaries that i have visited in both colorado and in oklahoma. It’s pure hydroponic and was an awesome way for me to do my documentation and experiments. I was also using well established genetics and paid the extra price for elite, landrace and cannabis cup winner strains. It saddens me that we got abandoned, much less by a company we had so much faith in and desire for them to be successful. Pathetic how they just washed their hands of us and stole our money. My only complaint is that i can not get mine operational after being in storage for almost two years. This was my biggest fear as and enthusiast, the lack of option to run this thing without internet connectivity or a manual override to continue growing. CitizenGrown has been a complete and utter failure. No support from them, and they have a website that sells product that we need without any intent to notify us that we are just giving them our hard earned dollar without shipping us our orders… Crying shame.

I bought a bunch of nutrients and the seeds starter pots in mine in 2021. My plants would always die once the feeding began. One night I received a shock when trying to unlock the door. I cleaned it up and waited until I was settled in my new home, that’s when I found out they went bankrupt. I got it out a few days ago and tried again(I had read CG bought the assets) and it won’t even connect to the wifi. Excluding vehicles, I think this is the biggest ripoff in my life. This morning I took it outside and crushed it with the front-end loader of my tractor. Tomorrow it will go to the recycle pile at my local landfill. It’s kind of amazing how a company can get away with fleecing people and just walk away like nothing happened.

Yeah i completely disassembled mine last weekend in hopes of finding a way to hardwire into the grobo in order to be able to get it operational as far as the air stone and light cycles go. Was planning on installing a manual water pump or just gutting out to hardware and turning it into a bigger sized grobo that was worth a fuck as far as proper space for growing a plant. Found out that i need a cable to connect to my laptop and am not sure what connection it is or if i’ll even be able to bypass anything manually on my laptop. It’s a spare parts bin for a hydro system i am working on right now.

You can use General hydroponics flora series in place of the Grobo nutrients. Just make sure and wash out the bottles really well and then fill them up and you’re good to go
